For this client’s conference, The Calling of the Bannermen, we arranged for their gathering at a place in Meath, Ireland, the exquisite Johnstown Estate. A gorgeous 4-star hotel nestled away in the countryside, this estate is just 35 minutes west of bustling Dublin City. The Estate can host up to 400 guests, offering quiet luxury and high quality service. With an especially large group, we wanted to make sure our client had plenty of space to accommodate attendees with a refined, yet comforting atmosphere.
As guests began to arrive on the first day, we arranged pick-up by coach at the Dublin International Airport and took them into the heart of Dublin itself for a few hours to explore the delightful and charming city via a bus tour.
After a lovely afternoon in Dublin, guests continued on to the Estate, where attentive staff were ready to check everyone in with friendly smiles. Once they had arrived, they were given access to their rooms and had opportunity to explore before coming together for dinner that evening. Amenities to explore at the Estate included a Spa, fitness center, indoor pool, and beautiful walking trails in a forest alongside the hotel.

Attendees gathered in the Fire & Salt Restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Delicious food, lively conversation, and a delightful atmosphere was enjoyed by all. The wait staff available during mealtimes were friendly and warm and always available.
The core meeting place everyone would gather in was the Grand Ballroom for speaker sessions and worship each day. It became a place where people would learn, build relationship, and grow together.
In the middle of the week a special event was planned for all attendees to travel to the Hill of Tara, a historical site that has been in use for more than 5000 years and is known as the seat of the high kings of Ireland. This seemingly simple hill was a humbling and deeply spiritual experience to walk on this ancient site overlooking the land, like many of those long before our time did. It was an enriching and reflective time for guests and speakers alike.

Another unique aspect about this gathering was all attendees brought their own banners they created themselves, symbolising their heritage and house. Everyone brought these banners together to symbolically wave and embrace together to lay down and declare generational freedom during one of the evening sessions.
On the final morning at the Estate, attendees had a chance to go on two other tours, with one option being the Hill of Uisneach. This hill is a vital part of Ireland’s history, from its earliest ancestors, and up to the modern era. Much has touched the Hill of Uisneach. Those on this tour were able to walk along the land of this hill and learn more about the deep heritage and long history behind it.
The other tour available was for Brú na Bóinne. Brú na Bóinne is famously known for the extraordinary prehistoric passage tombs of Knowth, Newgrange and Dowth. Those who signed up were able to see these incredible neolithic landmarks and walk inside the Newgrange tomb.
As this final day and tours approached the end, guests made their way back to their homes, filled with beautiful memories of sweeping Irish landscapes, spectacular history, and new-found friendships with each other.
